Week 48

Hello everyone!

What a week! We went on two exchanges this week and it was a blast! It definitely drains me though. Ha I have like no energy afterwards! But it's still a lot of fun. :) I got to help out with another food bank on Saturday! We served breakfast and then helped out with the clean up. There was SO many dishes. Ha I figured out where my back problems started out though. Jimmy John's. Ha leaning over making sandwiches and washing dishes was a little rough! I seriously need a massage when I get home. My back pops like 10 times a day and it's just so tight! But I'll definitely be able to hold out til I get home. So no worries. :)

So Gaby and Sergio are back!!! Hallelujah. They came with us to the Dyer's the other night and it was so much fun. We were all just laughing so hard that we almost cried! Haha I missed them so much. :) But if you could keep Sergio in your prayers I'd really appreciate it!! He's got an infection in his chest and had to go to the E.R. the other night. He was able to get a blessing as well, so we hope that he'll get better real soon! Then him and Gaby can get married and baptized... :)

This week we've been taking more time to pray and ask where Heavenly Father wants us to go. It's amazing what happens when we do that! We did it the other night and the impression came that we should go and see a recent convert. So we called her up and she invited us right over. Her husband passed away at the end of last year and then her dad just barely died. It was so sad!! But she is handling it like a champion. We were able to share the video "Always Remember Him" by Elder Holland and talked about the importance and strength that comes from the Sacrament. It was a powerful lesson! I know that Heavenly Father truly does lead us to where He wants us when we just ask him. Well I hope you all have a great week!! I love you so much :)

Week 47

Hello! :)

Whew. Birthday's are exhausting! Haha. Sister Webb and I are now 20. So that's just weird.. Ha but we had fun! We had a silly string fight and I totally won. I took both containers and sprayed her down. Then we opened up our presents together! Ha. I'm still just counting my blessings that I got to be companions with her during our birthday's. It's so much fun to celebrate with someone else!

This week was a little rougher.. we got honked at, flipped off, and yelled at. Some people were just straight up mean! But we made it through it. :) We kept working and were able to see miracles as we prayed for strength. We had zone conference on my birthday about the Spirit. It was so great! I learned that we need to more fully make the Holy Ghost our senior companion. When we did that this week, we were definitely led to where Heavenly Father needed us. I know that this is the Lord's work. And as we seek for His help and direction, the Spirit will guide us and we'll be able to be apart of miracles.

Going along with the Spirit, one of the members in Silver Creek gave a really great talk on helping our families to recognize the Spirit. He said that we need to help them recognize and feel the Spirit and then testify to them! It makes perfect sense, but I didn't realize that I'm going to have to treat my kids like investigators! We have to point those things out to them so that they can find truth for themselves. :)

Well I love you all so much! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes :) Oh and birthday shout out to Krista!! I hope you have a great day! :) Love you all!!!

Week 46

So I just watched that video of Chalese dancing and.... I may or may not have almost cried. My little sister is growing up!! :( Geez.. Way to go though, Chalese-Lou. :)

Hmm... what happened this week? I can't even think. You all should be proud though, cause I only opened one of my birthday presents early! Impressive, huh. :) Yeah I know.. I spoil everything. :) Haha.  I hope everyone had a great birthday though! (Brynnlee, Mom, and Kaylie) I love you all so much!! :)

Well.. I wrote about this in my letter today.. but I'll write it again. Ha we met with Abraham and Melissa again this week! We got to their house and sat down at their kitchen and their little boy came up to me and gave me a big hug. It was the cutest thing ever :) Ha they have a 1 year old and like a 3mo. old. They're pretty much the cutest kids that you'll ever meet! So we taught them about the Book of Mormon and showed them how it related to them. They were loving it! We read half of 1Nep. 1 with them and then invited them to finish the chapter and keep reading. They seemed super excited about it! We also showed them the Gospel Library App so that they could have it on their phone :) Pray that they'll read it and feel the Spirit though! Cause we won't be able to meet with them until next week because they're out of town. They're so great though. I just love them!!

Sorry I don't have much to write about.. but I love you guys so much!! Keep doing what is right! :)

Love,

Week 45

Hey!! :)

I have like no time, but I wanted to share a little miracle with you. As we were on exchanges the other day, my companion and I tried to go and contact a referral. They weren't home though so we decided to walk around the block and see if we could talk to anyone outside. As we were walking past this house, a guy came out who we started talking to. He told us that he just moved from Italy with his family. He said that he's in the military but is hoping to get out of it soon and retire here. So we kept talking to him about his family and things and invited him to learn how the gospel could bless him and his family! He was like "yeah, I think I would really like that! Would this Saturday work for you guys?" We were like uhhh.. heck yes!! He then got all teary eyed and told us that we were an answer to his prayer. How sweet is that?! I couldn't even believe it. I'm sure that my jaw was on the ground!! So we ended up teaching him and his wife last Saturday and it went really well! He told us that after he went inside from talking to us, he knelt down and thanked our Heavenly Father.

I KNOW that Heavenly Father is preparing his children and that some truly are "kept from the truth because they know not where to find it". (D&C 123:12) If you guys could please keep Abraham and Melissa in your prayers I would really appreciate it! I love you all so much!! :)
